In Dec 2008 Hatch committed to help the working poor around the globe by lending money to entrepreneurs in developing countries.
 
The ultimate goal of the program is to help entreprenuers from disadvantaged environments to gain their social and economic independence and in the process improve their own lives and those of their family and community.
